Our Story: The organization started by Mr. Amit Goutam .Smile Safe Foundation situated in India and as the name implies, it was established to bring a smile on the faces of people who require assistance in their lives. Mr. Goutam realized that there was a great opportunity to have a NGO for focusing the particular problems based on Haridwar’s residents. He has been the driving force behind the direction and the motivation that saw the foundation being founded to champion change.
Reason for Opening NGO in Haridwar
The Smile Safe Foundation is opening in Haridwar with the idea to address crucial needs of the population. There are also many families experiencing poverty within the region that cannot afford marriage expenses for their daughters; thus, thisaffects the social and economic challenges within the community. Moreover, the rights of children especially the poor, the out casted, the minority, and the disabled are denied their right to education and this is a recipe for disaster, because when these children have no educational future, then the cycle of poverty continues. Specifically, health checkups and other medical services for elderly people in this area remain limited and beyond their reach quite often. In this context, Smile Safe Foundation’s crucial goals are to legalize Marriages of poor girls, improving the quality of education for children, and mandatory Free Health Checkup Camps for senior citizen help the poor fragments of Haridwar to be a better society and empowered.
